Getting Started with TicketHop

TicketHop is a Chrome extension that automatically tracks every Azure DevOps work item you visit. No more digging through browser history or bookmarking dozens of tabs — your recent work items are always one click away.

Install the extension

Visit the Chrome Web Store and click Add to Chrome
Pin the TicketHop icon to your toolbar for quick access
That’s it — no configuration or sign-up required

How tracking works

Once installed, TicketHop runs silently in the background. Every time you open a work item in Azure DevOps, it captures the item’s ID, type, title, and project. It works across Boards, Backlogs, Sprint views, and direct URLs.

TicketHop recognizes all 26 Azure DevOps work item types, including Bugs, User Stories, Tasks, Epics, Features, and more. It’s fully SPA-aware, so it tracks navigation within Azure DevOps without needing full page reloads.

Add notes to work items

Click any tracked item in the popup to open its detail view. From there you can write private markdown notes that are stored locally in your browser. Notes support full GitHub Flavored Markdown — headings, lists, code blocks, links, and more.

Your notes are never sent to Azure DevOps or any external server. They stay in your browser’s local storage (or sync with E2E encryption if you enable that).

Organize with lists

Create custom lists to group work items however you like — by sprint, by feature area, by priority, or anything else. Drag and drop to reorder items within a list, and use the full-page view for managing larger collections.

Sync across devices

Upgrade to Pro to sync your tracked items, notes, and lists across all your devices. Sync uses AES-256 encryption with a zero-knowledge architecture, meaning the server never sees your plaintext data. Sign in with a passkey — no passwords needed.
